I grew up just outside of Akron in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Because of this, I’m obligated to say that LeBron James is the greatest basketball player of all time. I graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in the midst of a pandemic in 2020.  I was the type of student who was overly involved in high school. If there was a school organization or club, you could count me in. I was a cheerleader throughout high school for both football and basketball, with two years as captain. I was a Class of 2020 officer. I planned many school events such as prom, fundraisers, and spirit weeks. I also served as Student Council secretary. I was involved in the National Honors Society, Link Crew, and Executive Committee. During my last two years of high school, I was a member of Interactive Marketing & Design. This was a career program that focused on learning the basic principles of business, graphic design, communications, and marketing for students that wanted to pursue a creative focused career path.

Upon graduation, I attended Charleston Southern University in Charleston, SC. Here, I had so many extraordinary opportunities that helped me develop into the person I am today.

I declared my major as Communication Studies right off the bat. I knew I wanted to go into a sports related career path, but I wanted to be more well-rounded, so I selected a broad major. From the getgo, I loved my major. I loved everything under the communications umbrella, public relations, social media, journalism, creative services, and marketing. I would, at this point, like to give a heavy mention to my favorite professor, Dr.Peterson, who taught me everything I know, and left a lasting impression on my education. To give a little insight on how much I loved my studies, I was awarded the Communications Student of the Year for the Class of 2024 my senior year.

In my junior year of college, I needed to declare a minor. This was harder that picking a major. Although I did not care for graphic design in high school, I decided to choose it as my minor. Great news, though - I ended up LOVING it! My graphic design courses ended up being my favorite classes and opened a new career path.

My first semester of college was tough. We were still heavily into the COVID pandemic and many opportunities were altered. Clubs, classes, organizations, campus meetings, etc. were practically non-existent. I had to learn how to give myself the college experience and overcome the adversity that COVID placed on us. However, this led me to one of the greatest things: joining my sorority.

In the Fall of 2020, I ran home to the Theta Chi chapter of Alpha Delta Pi (ADPi) with my pledge sisters. This group offered me friendship and community during a difficult time. It gave me new people to meet, pushed me out of my comfort zone, and offered many activities to do while still following COVID protocol (The COVID portion of my life story will be over soon, I promise.)

In the Fall of 2020, I ran home to the Theta Chi chapter of Alpha Delta Pi (ADPi) with 30 pledge sisters. This group offered me friendship and community during a hard time. It gave me new people to meet, pushed me out of my comfort zone, and offered new activities to do while still following COVID protocol (The COVID portion of my life story will be over soon, I promise). In November of 2020, the end of my first semester of college, I was elected Director of Public Relations. A leadership role that offered me a new way to be involved and develop myself professionally. Here’s where the plot twist happens - the following January the same council that slated my name for the Director role wanted me to apply to the Vice President of Marketing role due to the position suddenly becoming vacant. Gasp! A freshman, in a VP role for a major sorority?!? As if!

At the end of my first semester of college, I was elected Director of Public Relations. This leadership role offered me a new way to be involved and develop myself professionally. Here’s where the plot twist happens - the following January the same council that slated my name for the Director role wanted me to apply to the Vice President of Marketing role due to the position suddenly becoming vacant. Gasp! A freshman, in a VP role for a major sorority?!? As if!

Within the next three years, I held multiple leadership roles in the sorority. Starting as VP of Marketing, I then moved to VP of Panhellenic Relations, and finally, Chapter President.

VP of Marketing was a large learning curve for me. I had to quickly learn how to communicate with large groups of people, adapt to rapidly changing situations, and effectively put together reports. I ended up taking on the role as head of recruitment when our director was diagnosed with COVID during recruitment week (last mention, I promise.) My responsibility for VP of Panhellenic Relations was to communicate as a liaison for the sorority and university.

My ultimate role within the sorority was President. In this capacity, I served as the public representative of the chapter, overseeing the executive board and ensuring adherence to bylaws and policies. My responsibilities included setting goals, communicating with the national headquarters and campus, managing emergencies, and representing the chapter at conventions.

Looking at my more professional development opportunities, I took my first internship as a Marketing & Promotions Intern with the Akron RubberDucks Minor League Baseball team for the 2022 season. Throughout the season, I worked with a team to assist in activating partnerships with on-field promotions, engaged fans through interactive promotional contests, led pregame events, distributed 1,000+ giveaways for fans, and ensured that the motto “Affordable. Family. Fun.” was followed through every game. This was a great first opportunity in the sports industry.

My second internship was as a Marketing & Communications Intern with Alpha Delta Pi sorority at the executive office in Atlanta, GA in the summer of 2023. Throughout this internship, I had different roles within the headquarters. My first task was to help the marketing team execute an organization-wide campaign called “Experience ADPi.” This campaign encouraged chapters to host events and discuss the sorority in terms of how the experience of the sorority would improve the overall college experience. ADPi gave me my best friends, networking opportunities, mentors and so much more. It was easy for me to assist in pushing out this campaign since it was something  I was passionate about. My second large task was to build a new program for the Marketing Office called the “Content Creators Program.” Sororities across the nation have social media accounts and content that needs to be produced. The idea of this program was to enlist active and alumni members to produce content for the national accounts and allow the executive office to acquire content for specific needs. This included pictures, videos and TikToks/Reels. By developing this program, I created a program draft, marketing materials, and an application for the marketing office to have a baseline once the school year began in the following Fall. Additionally, I completed smaller tasks throughout the summer including post planning, research on fellow sororities, and suggestions for improvement. Overall, this was one of my top experiences for learning about a marketing and communications office setting and I loved every minute.

During the Fall of 2023, I was handpicked for a  third internship at the Marketing & Communication office of Charleston Southern University as a Digital Media Intern. In this role, I collaborated with my supervisor to research and develop content for the university's social media channels and website. My responsibilities involved assisting in the creation of content by collecting photos and videos, designing weekly graphics for upcoming events, and working closely with the marketing team to formulate monthly media schedules and brainstorm new ideas. This was my last internship as a student at Charleston Southern University.

I graduated from CSU with a 3.6GPA in Spring of 2024. In Fall of 2024, I began my 2-year master’s program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Communication & Information, with a concentration in Advertising. I will be graduating in May of 2026 with a 4.0GPA.

As a student at the University of Tennessee, I hold the title of both Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) and Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) for the Tombras School of Advertising & Public Relations. As a GTA, I collaborate with faculty and professors to ensure that students are supported, questions are answered, and assignments are graded. Courses that I have assisted in teaching are ADVT250 - Introduction to Advertising, ADVT480 - Advertising Decision Making, and my FAVORITE, ADPR365 - Social Media. While all courses have added to my skillset as a leader figure, the Social Media course has given me a unique opportunity to assist in teaching, while also learning alongside the students in a subject I am passionate about.

As the TA for the Social Media course, I am tasked with the responsibility to film, edit, post, respond and manage the classroom accounts (@UTKSM on TikTok, @utksocialmedia on Instagram). During the Fall 2025 semester, we reached 40.5K followers on Instagram, and 89.2K on TikTok. These classroom pages are used as an interactive tool for the class to utilize and learn from. Working alongside professor Dr.Pittman, I create video ideas throughout the semester. From there, we explain the idea to the class, and film with student volunteers. After I edit the video,  we post and monitor the content. Before the next class, Dr.Pittman and I pull the analytics and best comments to see what caused higher or lower engagement, what intrigued the audience, and discuss how we can alter certain things for the next video/post made. This class has enabled me to elevate my skills in social media management, social media analytics, and content creation to an exceptional level. Our most popular video this semester reached 23.6M views on Instagram and 6.8M views on TikTok. We also created a video this semester about Taylor Swift’s engagement that reached over 6.7M views, 309K likes, 165K shares, 4K reposts, 14K shares, and was shared on multiple international news and media platforms.

Outside of classes and being a TA/RA, I am also a student graphic design intern for the University of Tennessee Athletic Department. I work with 10 other team members, as well as my supervisor, to create different graphics for Tennessee’s athletic teams. I have worked with women’s soccer, women’s basketball, tennis, cross country and track teams to generate content for clothing, videoboards, social media, and on-campus advertisements. This has been my favorite experience at Tennessee by far, and I cannot thank my supervisor, Evan Ford, enough for the opportunity and mentorship. This experience has helped develop me as a creative, and pushed me to pursue my passion in graphic design.

In the spring of 2025, I had the opportunity to complete an internship with Stand Out For Good, Inc., the parent company of the well-known clothing brand, Altar’d State. As a graphic design intern, I contributed to projects for Altar’d State, Arula, Tullabee, and AS Revival. During my time at the headquarters in Knoxville, TN, I gained valuable hands-on experience in an office environment. I collaborated closely with the marketing and social media teams to meet strict deadlines. My completed projects included META and Google ads, a company policy catalog, social media graphics, promotional emails, and conference materials. This experience provided me with valuable insights into working in a full-time office, collaborating across departments, and delivering high-quality materials under time constraints.

The final internship that I have completed is with the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) in the summer of 2025. For three months, I traveled with a team of eight other interns across the country to put on 12 junior golf tournaments. Over the summer, we traveled 4,620 miles and to seven states, starting in Louisiana, ending in California. I worked hand in hand with the other Traveling Communication intern, Alexis Hipsky, and Communications Assistant, Alicia Baron, to complete communications tasks to showcase the talented golfers. For each tournament, we completed golfer and leader photography, wrote and published pre- and post tournament articles, and generated daily content on X, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram. This internship allowed me to merge my passion for sports, storytelling, and creative media while collaborating with an outstanding group of interns and AJGA staff. I am truly thankful for the experience, the memories, and above all, my teammates from Team Three.
